is more than just a pretty face! For competition, a successful
conformation dog is the result of thoughtful breeding, good
structure, physical soundness, and a happy, confident
temperament. Conformation spells out - physically - the
written standard of excellence for a Golden Retriever.
Outstanding
conformation means a dog should have the optimal structure,
endurance, strength and attitude to perform the duties a retriever
should easily accomplish – retrieving game on land or
water.
