Meet the Kansas City Golden Retriever Club
About Us
The Kansas City Golden Retriever Club (KCGRC) was founded in 1975 by a small number of Golden Retriever lovers from all around the KC metro. The club was sanctioned by the American Kennel Club in 1989.
Over the years the club has grown, and many members have shown their Goldens in conformation, agility, field, tracking, and obedience, winning titles at all levels of competition. Most members, though, have Goldens as pets and members of their families, taking advantage of their loving, gentle personalities.
KCGRC has twice hosted the National Golden Retriever Specialty, in 1991 and 2006, and holds regional specialty, obedience, agility, tracking, and field tests every year.
Goldens are very versatile dogs, both in the show ring and at home. If you have a Golden, or would like to learn more about Goldens, why not come out sometime and play with us. You’ll be glad you did!
